First Annual Thanksgiving Drive Was A Success!

When we started PBB, we hoped we can do at least one basket for our first drive. We collected enough donations for a total of three huge boxes to deliver in time for the Thanksgiving Day holiday.

We connected with Valor Clinic Foundation. Valor provides assistance accessing benefits, and shelter to Veterans with limited or no access to care. Helps find shelter for Veterans who, due to health or means, are unable to find or keep shelter of their own, and Post Traumatic Stress resources to Veterans through our Veterans Unstoppable program. You can learn more about the amazing things they do directly on their website. https://valorclinic.org

Myself and our first set of teen volunteers made the drop off on Sunday, November 21st. The deliveries are just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday.

In each box we provided the following:

  • 1 Turkey over 16lbs

  • Trader Joes Pumpkin Pancake Mix

  • Dozen eggs

  • 1lb butter

  • 1lb bacon

  • 1 gallon milk

  • Loaf bread

  • 5lb potatoes

  • 5lb green apples

  • 3lbs carrots

  • 3 cans corn

  • 3lbs onions

  • 2lbs sweet potatoes

  • 3 cans green beans

  • 1 can cranberry sauce

  • 1 can/jar turkey gravy

  • Dinner rolls

  • 1lb brown rice

  • 1 box turkey stuffing

  • 1 can fruit pie filling

  • 1 pie crust

  • 1 can cake frosting

  • 1 box cake mix

Up next is our Christmas drive with a three week turn around. We will be going back to Valor for our drop off as this cause is really close to our hearts.
